Sustainable Farming

We take pride in supporting sustainable farming practices where possible. The property is involved in the ‘Water for Profit’ program to limit inefficient use of water and eliminate run off onto the Great Barrier Reef.

Only certified organic fertilisers and nutrients are used on the orchard so Bingil Bay Limes are good for you as well as delicious. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is used to control pests and diseases and NO PESTICIDES are used in the orchard.

‘Safe Food Handling’ practices are adhered to throughout the packing shed in accordance with the industry’s ‘Freshcare’ accreditation, and recent tree planting under the scheme ‘Bushcare’ has encouraged native wildlife to roam the property.
